I came here for my fist time and the bartender was very friendly and made me feel like I was very special. She made me feel very special and I knew it was a good spot. The music was great and drinks were amazing! The bar tender Lorraine made me feel so comfortable and happy!

We had a 10 person party and the staff was very accommodating and put us in one of their tents which was perfect for our group! I ordered a medium rare burger with bacon and it came out well done without bacon. They took it back and it took a bit longer to come out with ours especially since most of our group had almost mostly finished their food. The burger was great and cooked perfectly the next time around. The ambiance is wonderful and we would certainly consider bringing a large group back here.

Well once again we ended up coming here last minute for dinner when cooking just sounded like too much. If you come here and don't get their mini corn bread muffins to start you are truly missing out. They aren't super filling which I love for an appetizer so you still have room for an entree. I ended up going with the salmon with orzo. I LOVE when the salmon has the crispy skin on it, it was super good just added a little salt and pepper and it was perfect. The service is always super quick our server this visit was awesome I wish I remembered his name! I'm sure we will be back soon to try more things!

This place has been on my radar for a bit, but because parking in this neighborhood is hard, we kept choosing other places. It's the same owners as Smoking Goat next door, which we had gotten a little bored with. But the menu here seemed interesting and kept beckoning to me. And so finally we came, and... WOW!! We loved it. North Park has a tradition of creative young chefs driving the city's energy, and everything about our dinner was super tasty. This is not a fussy fine-dining atmosphere (more a nice neighborhood restaurant - theme is "Comfort Cuisine + Craft Cocktails"). But the food and drink were indeed incredibly delicious and well thought out. AMBIANCE: The shtick of this place is that it's "outdoor-themed" (with tents like camping" even if it's indoors. They do not have actual outdoor seating, which is normally the only way we eat out post-2020. BUT they have 5 tables right at the enormous front window so you're pretty much outside. We got the street atmosphere rather than the indoor/"outdoor" atmosphere, but we loved it. SERVICE: A young guy named Gino was our waiter. Friendly and not pretentious - but he really knew what to recommend! I asked for guidance about cocktails - and then he really came alive and steered me perfectly.... COCKTAIL: Lots of interesting choices on this menu. I asked about a few different ones; Gino said that one of them (which is now listed top on the menu, it has Rye in its name and it's not listed online yet) was the way to go. They just got a new really great mixologist, and Gino said it was the first thing he'd just added to the menu. WOW. I would give this 6 stars on a scale of 1-5, because it wasn't just delicious but blew me away. It had (if I recall right, because it's not listed online): rye, lavender, lemon, apricot shrub, honey, I forgot what else. It had a beautiful presentation (tall in a collins type glass, with fresh lavender and some other herbs as garnish along with a lemon peel). I thought the rye would overwhelm everything else and this would taste like a gussied-up Old Fashioned. But the rye worked more like gin, and just all of these delicious herbal and sour and sweet flavors blended really well together. One of the most surprising and refreshing cocktails I've gotten in a long time. (Can you tell I loved it?). APPETIZERS: Mini corn muffins. These were DELECTABLE comfort food. They were not just bland and warm. The 'honey butter' was crazy good - and they were just exceptional. Salad: Also blown away here. I got the Roasted Beet Salad, which comes wwth greek lemon yogurt, candied pistachios, avocado, arugula, lemon vin. I've got some run-of-the-mill beet salads lately (I mean you can't go wrong with beets + arugula + ...). But this was really special. I took a photo but it came out blurry - I hope others will take picks! Served in a bowl, with the greens on one side, and then the beautiful yogurt dip on the other. And it was perfectly seasoned! I know I sound like Tom Colicchio on Top Chef here - but most of the time you don't notice salt in a salad because it's not there enough - and this had just the right amount of salt to make you go MMMMM but not be overwhelming. Good job, kitchen!! ENTREES: My sweetie got the Cast Iron Chicken and really liked it. I got the salmon (also a different presentation than the current online menu): creamy fennel, peas, maybe a blood orange beurre blank IIRC? The salmon was large and perfectly cooked. I would not say this was the best dish I had here, and it was a little more run of the mill than the other things I got. But it was very tasty. And when I hit the little fennel piece it was a flavor bomb. This was also a huge portion which left me without room for dessert. But... DESSERT: My sweetie definitely wanted to try the Cast Iron Cookie with vanilla ice cream, so of course I took one spoon. WOW again! This was so simple but so perfect. The most delicious version of a big warm tollhouse cookie - but also with the BEST quality hot fudge and then a really nice little scoop of vanilla ice cream. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this. So overall, we really loved this restaurant. Parking is still hard in this neighborhood or we would go more often. But I really hope we can go back soon. Thanks to Gino, the great new bar program manager and the kitchen staff!
